The Digital Empowerment initiative of International Centre for Technological Innovations aims to improve the lives of marginalised communities living in socio-economic backwardness, by providing them digital literacy and improving access to internet. ICTI empowers Farmer Producer Organisations and Self Help Groups by equipping them with adequate training and capacity building to conduct efficient business transaction through online market place. Empowering rural and semi-urban population, especially women and farmers in using internet and mobile technology for improving their livelihood and gaining better access to services is the core aspect of this initiative.

Marketplace for Farmer Producer Organisations
ICTI in association with Verytat and FarmerTree, is offering an online marketplace platform for Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and community-based producers to list and sell their products enabling wider access to markets and helping FPOs and their farmers to realize higher prices. It connects producers directly with consumers. There is also an opportunity for B2B market linkage between FPOs and food companies.
SHG- Digital literacy and online retail
ICTI in association with FarmerTree offers training to Self Help Groups (SHGs) with vision to empower non-IT literate women in using computer, mobile phone and internet to avail online services and enhance their livelihood. Entrepreneurial SHGs are also offered computers and training in online trade, internet banking, ecommerce logistics, delivery and customer service jobs related to FarmerTree e-Shop.
